About
Miss Micah
MIles
Moose
Hello, my name is Micah Pope.
I am a single mother to an awesome little man named Miles. He is eleven years old. My “firstborn” is Moose, a 12-year-old Weimaraner/Black Lab mix. Like most “brothers” they get along sometimes and are archenemies other times. In all honesty, Moose still hasn’t forgiven me for bringing Miles home. He thought we were doing fine, just the two of us. Sorry, Moose.
Miles loves being outdoors, art, exploring new places, trying new foods, animals, Star Wars, and of course, zombies. He’s funny, witty, and loves making new friends! He knows how to be the life of the party!
I am 35, born and mostly raised in Tulsa, OK. I have traveled throughout the states and briefly lived in St. Peter’s, MO, from ‘98-’99.
I have a wonderful and very supportive family. My parents celebrated their thirty-sixth anniversary in January 2020. They have taught me much about life, marriage, finances, work ethic, and more, even if it was how NOT to do it.
Most importantly, they taught me about Jesus and his love for all his children, including me. I will forever be grateful to my parents for never giving up on me and for never ceasing to pray for me. Because of their diligence to prayer, I am alive and safe!
Sadly, I lost my dad on December 30th, 2020. There isn't a day that goes by that I do not miss him terribly. On June 30th, 2021, exactly 6-months after his passing and what would have been his 62nd birthday, I, along with my son and two best friends, took my dad to Colorado and spread his ashes on one of his favorite mountain tops. It was my way to honor him and his love for the mountains, Colorado, and his family.

The Story Behind Miss Micah’s Kitchen
I initially created Miss Micah’s Kitchen to be a catering company. Although I briefly ran it as such, life changed, and therefore I adapted along with the changes.
Once again, I find my life changing, and thus Miss Micah’s Kitchen is adapting, yet again.
I will be restructuring my blog from multi-topic to food only. I will include recipes, restaurant and kitchen gadget reviews, and of course, my spices.
I am creating another blog about my personal life experiences. As always, it will remain real and raw. I am not here to focus on all the “perfect” parts of my life. Instead, I will share my experiences, mistakes, progress, setbacks, and more.
